Supporting the Ministry

Thank you for your interest in supporting Greek Ministry at UNC-Chapel Hill. There are a number of ways that your support can impact fraternity and sorority students:

  2. Give to Dave's budget - This year Dave is responsible for a $50,000 operating budget to remain on staff full-time. To see a detailed breakdown of this budget, click here. There are several ways in which you help underwrite this cost:
    Give online using your Mastercard or VISA. This is a great way to support the ministry and acrrue airline miles or other rewards points from your credit card compay. Click on the button to be directly connected to InterVarsity's secure online giving portal
    Give regularly using InterVarsity's Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) program. This allows regular contributions to be deducted from a bank account of your choice on a set day of your choice each month. Visit InterVarsity's EFT information page for more details on EFT and how to enroll.
    Mail your gift to InterVarsity. Print and complete our online form to mail with your gift. Make sure to note that the gift is for "David Shepley" or "Greek Ministry at UNC-CH".
    Call IV's National Office with a gift. If you would like assistance in making a donation using your Visa or MasterCard, call our toll free number, 866-734-4823 and ask for our Special Gifts Coordinator.
    Visit our Gift Planning Resource Center. This resource is provided for sharing great stewardship ideas. Whether you are considering gifts of appreciated assets, insurance, donor advised funds or life income gifts of trusts and gift annuities, this web site is provided to help educate and also provide you with an easy way to contact us.

  1. Give to the Greek IMPACT student chapter. This money is used for conference scholarships, special events and other student-specific expenses. To give to the chapter you can either:

... The challenge of both serving as the Director for the Charlotte Greek Conference (2.17-19) AND heading up our local recruiting efforts is becoming evident. Pray for my focus and endurance as I try to do both well.

... Student leader partnership in recruiting for Conference has been difficult. Pray that they would take risks in inviting thier friends to this weekend.

... We are taking the idea of "being fully ALIVE," a step further this semester by tackling what "faith as a way of life" looks like.

... My schedule is packed this semester, as I am discipling 19 men and women and leading three 'team ministry' meetings each week. Pray for my leadership of those students. Also pray that leaders would step up to the challenge to lead their area of ministry focus well.
