How Can I Get Involved?
Small groups are what we call our weekly Bible studies. These are the crucial parts of IV where students come together in groups of 5-10 to read the Bible, discuss current issues, pray together, and grow together as friends. Small groups are amazing times of accountability in a shaky world, of encouragement for all the tough times, and of close friends that help us grow closer to God. Large groups are our weekly meetings where everyone from every chapter comes together in joint worship and prayer. Speakers challenge us, important announcements are made, and funny skits and dramas are presented. The real "meat and potatoes" of IV occurs in the smaller setting of the small group Bible studies, but Large Groups are crucial to our growth as a body of believers. Throughout the semester, IV sponsors many weekend retreats and conferences. These provide students the opportunity to get away from campus and focus on growing in their faith. Retreats and conferences often occur in conjunction with IV chapters at other universities. To find out about upcoming retreats and conferences, click here.
Every Friday a group from IV plays Ultimate Frisbee at 3 PM on the intramural fields. This is a time that encourages fellowship through athletic activity both for members of IV and those who just love to play Ultimate.
If you would like to pray with other people in IV, come out to the Pit on Wednesdays at 8pm. This is a great time to lift up our campus to the Lord in prayer.
